I went to the beach. It was nice… and like 74 outside. I told you that. But I forgot some awesome details. I went for a walk on the beach, looking for shells. In the water I saw a stingray swimming around… good thing I wasn’t it in. The water was like freezing anyways. And then I saw a sand dollar washed up… but it was still alive. So I threw it back. And in the parking lot I saw an armadillo. And I was going to get a picture with my camera, but he ran off. What an exciting trip to the beach.

Woohoo. And then off to the wonderful world of Florida.
Sadly, I will be leaving a lot behind. Family, friends, and those dear to me. Its going to be tough. But that hasn’t stopped me before. Trying something that seems impossible or hard to do is the only way to find out that you can or cannot do it. Trying and failing is better than not trying at all.

For the record. My niece is a princess. She turned 3 yesterday and had a wonderful birthday party with lots of Dora stuff. There was a Dora cake, some presents were wrapped in Dora wrapping paper, Dora balloons, Dora plates and napkins, etc. And of course she got lots of Dora related presents. She was sooo cute.

Life Unrealized

So last week like Wednesday my car driver side door lock broke. Not too shocking considering my two rear passenger door handles have been broken since I got the car. (Aside: I took them apart to find out that the handle is broken, piece of plastic broke, the child locks were not stuck on. Priced the handle too: $50 a piece.) The door could be opened from the inside, but the electric locks would not work and the key would not work. I spent some 3 hours taking apart the door and figuring out what was wrong with it. A spring had broken in the lock assembly. And the joy of this lock assembly was 5 rods connected to it. One to the lock for the key, one of the outside handle, one to the inside handle, one to the electric actuator, and one to the knob that is up by the window. Very complex. Pain in the butt to remove.
Stop by the dealership and they actually had the part in stock. I don’t know whether that is a good thing or not, but spend some $48 on that. I’m not sure why the metal lock assembly is cheaper than the plastic door handle, go figure. Took me about 30 minutes to install the lock assembly. It was much easier the second time around. And now my driver side door works again. Hooray.
And that much of my life makes sense.
