Just maybe…

Published by Matt under General

Adult attention deficit disorder (AADD) is the common terminology for the psychiatric condition currently known as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), also known as attention deficit disorder (ADD), when it occurs in adulthood. Although the exact prevalence in adults is unknown, epidemiologic studies thus far reveal that the condition, marked by inattentiveness, difficulty getting work done, procrastination, or organization problems, probably exists in about 2-4% of adults.”

Maybe I have AADD or maybe I have no motivation.

Pondering…

Published by Matt under Thoughts

Its nights like these that make me wonder why I am a computer engineering major…
However, the alternative (Computer Science) is not any more appealing. Computer Engineers have better pay and could be doing interesting things and hands on things. Computer Science majors do interesting things with their hands, in front of a monitor all day as a programmer. It appears that I have the skills needed to be a good programmer… but, is that really what I want to do?

This circuit analysis stuff (which more so applies to Electrical Engineers which is tightly knit with CpE) just isn’t for me. This is the boring stuff. Not really hands on either. Let the computer do the calculations. Lets build it.

The predicament here is that my studies towards Computer Engineering are the basis for my job at NASA, but I’m doing computer science work. I can do computer science work… but I’m studying for computer engineering.

:(
