Out of the pink…
In an epic battle between good and evil, I’d choose the side of the Energizer Bunny.

Life is like a jigsaw puzzle: we go about asking ourselves, “does this piece fit here, or here, or here….” Sometimes they fit, sometimes they don’t. Oh, and no one gave us the picture on the front of the box.

There must be some balance between young and foolish; and old and stupid.

The most enjoyable part of my day is the minute between exiting my car and entering my workplace. Its cool, theres a slight breeze, its very quiet, and nothing is demanded of me. For a moment.

I am tired of random people at Walmart asking me to get an item off the top shelf for them. What do I look like, an associate? Just because I’m tall doesn’t mean I want to you to interrupt my shopping to service your needs.
“Your welcome.”
[Edit: 4/6] This is sarcasm if you can’t tell. I really don’t mind, I just thought it would be fun to point out.

There is one thing worse than not realizing what you have until its gone; that is to not realize what you had until at some point in the future when it hits you like you just stepped on a rake.

There is more to life than wealth, fame/reputation, and power. Upon figuring it out, please inform the rest of us.
Try.

Woohoo. And then off to the wonderful world of Florida.
Sadly, I will be leaving a lot behind. Family, friends, and those dear to me. Its going to be tough. But that hasn’t stopped me before. Trying something that seems impossible or hard to do is the only way to find out that you can or cannot do it. Trying and failing is better than not trying at all.

So last week like Wednesday my car driver side door lock broke. Not too shocking considering my two rear passenger door handles have been broken since I got the car. (Aside: I took them apart to find out that the handle is broken, piece of plastic broke, the child locks were not stuck on. Priced the handle too: $50 a piece.) The door could be opened from the inside, but the electric locks would not work and the key would not work. I spent some 3 hours taking apart the door and figuring out what was wrong with it. A spring had broken in the lock assembly. And the joy of this lock assembly was 5 rods connected to it. One to the lock for the key, one of the outside handle, one to the inside handle, one to the electric actuator, and one to the knob that is up by the window. Very complex. Pain in the butt to remove.
Stop by the dealership and they actually had the part in stock. I don’t know whether that is a good thing or not, but spend some $48 on that. I’m not sure why the metal lock assembly is cheaper than the plastic door handle, go figure. Took me about 30 minutes to install the lock assembly. It was much easier the second time around. And now my driver side door works again. Hooray.
And that much of my life makes sense.
