Adventures in the Kitchen

So, I can’t cook. Or at least thats what I always used to say. But, this time around in Florida, I put forth an effort to eat something other than frozen dinners and pizza. I bought some cookware: a pot, a pan, a cookie sheet, a Pyrex dish. So far I’ve gotten much use out of the pot, as I’ve prepared some long lost childhood favorites: real macaroni and cheese, beanie weenies, spaghetti-O’s, chicken noodle soup. Its been more than 10 years since I’ve eaten any of these (except maybe mac and cheese, which has been at family reunions and such).

Okay, so its not made from scratch… we’ll its a step in the right direction. Here’s some future plans: cookies, brownies, chicken and biscuits (the kind you can buy with all the ingredients in the box), pizza.

P.S. I have cooked before, or helped someone cookie stuff (even from scratch)… but its been a good while since that has happened. I guess you can’t loose everything that should be like basic instincts.
